Turin, Feb. 18 (LaPresse) – Milan's European journey ends in the Champions League playoffs. The Rossoneri, defeated 1-0 in the Netherlands, could not go beyond a 1-1 draw at San Siro in the second leg. Former Milan player Gimenez gave the hosts hope by opening the scoring with a header assisted by Thiaw after less than a minute. The Rossoneri came close to doubling the lead multiple times, but the match took a turn at the start of the second half when Theo Hernandez was sent off for a second yellow card after a dive in the opponent’s penalty area. With a numerical disadvantage, Milan struggled, and Feyenoord equalized through substitute Carranza, who scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute, securing the Dutch side's spot in the Round of 16.
