Milan, 4 Mar (LaPresse) – Aston Villa won 3-1 at home to Club Brugge in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. With this result the team coached by Unai Emery thus mortgages the passage to the quarter-finals. Aston Villa took the lead after 3 minutes with Bailey, De Cuyper's Belgian equaliser in the 12th minute. In the second half, the English side sealed the deal in the final minutes: in the 82nd minute Mechele's own goal made it 2-1, and in the 88th minute former Real Madrid man Asensio scored on a penalty kick to make it 3-1.
