Rome, March 12 (LaPresse) – "The wait is over, and we’re ready to hit the track for the first race of the season. In a way, it feels like going back in time, as it’s been several years since Australia hosted the opening round. The Albert Park street circuit isn’t particularly representative of what we can expect for the rest of the season, but we did well here last year, and we’re confident for the upcoming weekend as well. Of course, there are many unknowns, and we can't wait to see what the on-track hierarchy will be, especially since the results from the Bahrain test were very difficult to interpret." This is what Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur said ahead of the first weekend of the F1 season, which will kick off in Melbourne, Australia. "During the winter, we worked hard in the factory in Maranello, and so did Charles Leclerc, who paid particular attention to his physical preparation, and Lewis Hamilton, who gave his best to integrate into the team as quickly as possible. I believe we have everything needed to do well, but as always, we will focus on ourselves first, knowing that this is just the beginning of a very long season. A week ago, we received a wonderful welcome in Milan from a sea of our fans, and now in Melbourne, we want to give our best to give them something to be proud of," he added.
