Rome, March 12 (LaPresse) – Matteo Berrettini and Lorenzo Sonego have reached the quarterfinals in men's doubles at the BNP Paribas Open, the ATP 1000 Masters event held in Indian Wells on hard courts (Laykold, prize money of 8.963.700 dollars), which is taking place alongside the WTA 1000.

The Italian duo defeated Americans Ryan Seggerman and Patrick Trhac 6-3, 6-2, who had a recent successful run in the NCAA circuit and had previously eliminated Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev in the opening round.

In the quarterfinals, they will face the world number 1 doubles pair, Salvadoran Marcelo Arevalo and Croatian Mate Pavic, who were finalists at the 2024 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin.
