Rome, March 14 (LaPresse) – A tough qualifying session for Pecco Bagnaia, the Ducati factory rider, who secured the last available spot in Q2 with the 10th fastest time in the pre-qualifying session for the Argentina GP, the second round of the MotoGP World Championship.

His teammate Marc Marquez set the fastest lap with a time of 1'37"295, ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46) by 135 milliseconds and Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini) by 201 milliseconds.

During Practice 2, Bagnaia crashed after entering Turn 2 too fast and losing control of his bike, but he escaped unscathed. Marco Bezzecchi finished fourth, followed by Brad Binder, Alex Rins, Johann Zarco, Fabio Quartararo, and Pedro Acosta.
