Moscow, March 20 (LaPresse) – Following Kirsty Coventry’s victory in the IOC presidential elections, Russia expects its athletes to return to competing in the Olympic Games, said Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev. "We expect that under the new president, the Olympic movement will become stronger, more independent, and prosperous, and that Russia will return to the Olympic podium," Degtyarev wrote on his Telegram channel.
