Turin, 21st March (LaPresse) – Lewis Hamilton finished ahead of everyone else in the sprint qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix, the second round of the Formula 1 World Championship. The Ferrari driver finished with a time of 1'30"849 (a new track record). Next to him will be Max Verstappen with Red Bull, 0.018 seconds behind. On the second row is Oscar Piastri with McLaren and the other red car of Charles Leclerc, fourth. Lando Norris, winner of the first race of the season in Australia, is only sixth. ‘I didn't expect this result but I'm delighted and proud’, said Hamilton at the end of qualifying. The sprint race is scheduled for tomorrow at 4am Italian time.
