Milan, Mar 29 (LaPresse) – Como and Empoli drew 1-1 in the Serie A Week 30 tie. A result that allows Fabregas' team to remain in the quiet zone of the standings with 30 points, +7 on the relegation zone where Empoli remain entangled with 23. A balanced first half at the Sinigallia, a match played at a high pace with the hosts who from the start tried to take control of the game. Como also saw a goal cancelled out for Goldaniga in the 20th minute, due to an offside position by the same number 5. Empoli in turn came very close to scoring with a post hit by Grassi in the 38th minute, and a diving header by Kouame with the ball just wide. The former Fiorentina striker was also unlucky at the start of the second half when on the counter-attack he hit a clamorous post from a deflected position, after dribbling past the goalkeeper. It was Como who unblocked the result in the 61st minute with the first kick in Serie A from the newly-entered Douvikas, from the centre of the area, on a fine assist from the right by Vojvoda. Empoli took the blow and again risked capitulating at the hands of Strefezza, who kicked wide from an excellent position. The Tuscans believed in it and in the 75th minute they found the deserved equaliser with a splendid header from Kouame following an assist from the left by Pezzella. In the final minutes, Kouame failed to score for Empoli, who were then reduced to ten men when Fazzini was sent off for a foul on Ikonè.
