Madrid (Spain), Apr 2 (LaPresse) – The Provincial Court of Madrid has scheduled the trial of coach Carlo Ancelotti for today over alleged tax fraud against the Spanish tax authorities. The prosecution has requested a sentence of four years and nine months for the Real Madrid coach. Specifically, Ancelotti is accused of defrauding the tax authorities of 1,062,079 euros in the 2014 and 2015 fiscal years. "I'm here to testify," he told reporters. When asked if he was worried, he replied, "No." "I have confidence in my innocence," he added. The Real Madrid coach does not appear inclined to seek a plea bargain. Ancelotti arrived at court accompanied by his son Davide and his wife, Mariann Barrena.
