Guests were more enterprising in the first half, with a chance first for Mosquera then with Bernede. In the second half the hosts were more aggressive, and they earned a penalty in the 16th minute for a touch with their arm by Sarr from a corner kick. From the penalty spot, however, Adams kicked centrally, allowing Montipò to make a save. Hellas took advantage and shortly afterwards unblocked the score through Sarr, who was pressing Milinkovic-Savic, who kicked at the striker, who scored in a thunderous manner. The Granata replied immediately, finding 1-1 in the 22nd minute with a surgical low shot from Elmas on Vlasic's back-heel. In the final minutes Toro were left in ten, on 41 minutes, for the direct expulsion of Ricci for a late intervention on Ajayi. But Hellas were content with the draw that allowed Zanetti's boys to move up to 31 points, +7 on the relegation zone. Vanoli's team, on the other hand, climbed to 40 points and hooked Udinese in tenth place.
