Mancini has been close to me since the beginning of this adventure, so especially in difficult moments, there was no need to convince anyone. Roberto is by our side and will certainly help us, together with all the staff, to turn things around’. These were the words of the president of Sampdoria, Matteo Manfredi, in an exclusive interview with Sky Sport upon his arrival in Bogliasco. ‘His role is not a formal one, his friends don't have to be present all the time but they will certainly be assiduous and make themselves felt. When will he arrive? We are thinking about it at the moment, these are tumultuous times for everyone, we have had to run for cover. We are all very tired, but we can't wait to start working’, he added.
