Rome, April 12 (LaPresse) – Oscar Piastri has secured pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Australian McLaren driver set a time of 1:29.841, 188 thousandths ahead of George Russell’s Mercedes. Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari finished third, 334 thousandths behind.
The fourth-fastest time was set by Kimi Antonelli in the other Mercedes, followed by Pierre Gasly. Lando Norris, in the other McLaren, had a disappointing result, finishing outside the top spots. He was followed by Verstappen, Sainz, Hamilton, and Tsunoda.
