Rome, 19 April (LaPresse) – Remco Evenepoel, fresh winner of the Tour of Brabant in his debut season, will be at the start of the Amstel Gold Race for the first time in his career, the most important race in the Netherlands and the only Dutch race in the World Tour, which takes place on Sunday. The 255.9-kilometre course, known for its narrow roads and steep climbs, includes a total of three Cauberg climbs, but also other major obstacles, such as the Geulhemmeberg and the Bemelerberg, before the final showdown on the roads of Valkenburg, where the 2012 World Championships concluded.
