MotoGP: Spanish GP, Alex Marquez wins, Bagnaia 3rd, Marc crashes

Milan, April 27 (LaPresse) – MotoGP continues to be a family affair for Marc and Alex Marquez. After Marc’s victory in yesterday’s sprint race, it was his younger brother Alex who won the main race of the Spanish Grand Prix at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit. This marks Alex Marquez's first-ever victory in MotoGP. The Gresini Ducati Team rider triumphed after starting from fourth position, taking advantage of Marc’s crash on the third lap while the two were battling for third place. On the podium in Jerez, behind Marquez Jr., are a revived Fabio Quartararo on Yamaha and Francesco 'Pecco' Bagnaia on the first official Ducati.
