New York (USA), Apr 28 (LaPresse/AP) – Mourning in the world of US professional basketball. Dick Barnett, a member of the basketball Hall of Fame who played on both of the New York Knicks' NBA title-winning teams after being a member of a historic college team, Tennessee A&I, has died at the age of 88. The Knicks announced his passing on Sunday but no other details were given. Barnett played on the Knicks' title-winning teams in 1970 and 1973 and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame both as a player and as a member of his college teams at Tennessee A&I (later Tennessee State), the first HBCU to win a national championship.
