Milan, May 1 (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Musetti has advanced to the semifinals of the ATP Masters 1000 clay-court tournament in Madrid, Spain. The Italian, ranked No. 11 in the ATP rankings, defeated Canadian Gabriel Diallo (world No. 78) in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, in a match lasting 1 hour and 29 minutes. In the semifinals, Musetti will face British player Jack Draper, ranked No. 6 in the world, who earlier in the day overcame Matteo Arnaldi with a 6-0, 6-4 victory, dashing hopes for an all-Italian semifinal.
