Rome, 6 May (LaPresse) – ‘Honestly, we tried to manage these three months in the best way possible. At times, I was a little surprised to hear some people in the industry say that these three months off were almost an advantage, because I never saw anyone take a break from Australia to Rome voluntarily. Otherwise, everyone would have done so.’ So said Simone Vagnozzi, Jannik Sinner's coach, at a press conference at the Internazionali. ‘Like everything else, we try to look on the bright side, see the glass as half full and work on what we can, but we know we're coming here without any matches under our belts. The last tournament was in Australia, but before that there was the Masters, so in the last five months we've only played two tournaments. And that's definitely not an advantage. The first matches will be crucial to get into rhythm and so on. We'll try to play as many matches as possible here to get to Roland Garros in good shape,’ he added.
