Women’s Serie A, Girelli (Juventus) named MVP of the season

Turin, May 5 (LaPresse) – With 19 goals, a tally that could still increase with the final matchday scheduled for Saturday evening at the Allianz Stadium (Juventus vs. Inter and the Bianconere’s title celebration), Cristiana Girelli has been named MVP of the eBay Women’s Serie A for the second time in her career. At 35, and after leading Juventus to their sixth league title, Girelli took the stage at Officine Farneto to receive the well-deserved award during "Frecciarossa Game On – Women in Sport," an event where she also featured in a panel alongside Elena Linari (Roma), rugby player Francesca Granzotto (Unione Rugby Capitolina), and Barbara Rossi, sporting director of SMI Roma Volley. Girelli succeeds Manuela Giugliano as MVP of the eBay Women’s Serie A, but she is not the only Juventus player to have received one of the season’s top honors, selected based on data and analysis by Stats Perform.
