Barcelona (Spain), 10 May (LaPresse/AP) – Xabi Alonso ‘has all doors open’ for a transfer to a big club. These are the words of Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who spoke at a press conference on the eve of the league ‘clásico’ against Barcelona about his possible successor, who is set to leave Bayer Leverkusen in the summer. ‘He has done a fantastic job,’ said the Italian coach. “He has all doors open because he has proven to be one of the best coaches in the world.” Regarding his own future, Ancelotti limited himself to saying that “the honeymoon with this club will never end, it will continue forever.” The former Milan, Chelsea and PSG coach is being targeted by the Brazilian national team.
