Turin, 10 May (LaPresse) – Marc Marquez won the French Grand Prix sprint race, in a race dominated by Ducati. His brother Alex finished second, completing an all-Spanish podium with the other Gresini team bike ridden by Fermin Aldeguer. It was a day to forget for Pecco Bagnaia, who crashed – without consequences – on the second lap while in fourth place. Fabio Quartararo's Yamaha finished at the foot of the podium, having started from pole position but forced to surrender to the overwhelming power of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer. In the world standings, Marc Marquez regained the lead with a two-point advantage over his brother Alex.
