Turin, 12 May (LaPresse) – Romanian Istvan Kovacs will referee the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter, scheduled for Saturday 31 May at 9 p.m. in Munich. He will be assisted by his compatriots Mihai Marica and Ferencz Tunyogi, with Portuguese Joao Pedro Silva Pinheiro as fourth official. Dutchman Dennis Johan Higler will be in charge of VAR. Kovacs, a 40-year-old international referee since 2010, will referee his third UEFA final after the Europa League final in 2024 between Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen and the Conference League final in 2022 between Roma and Feyenoord. This season, he has refereed seven Champions League matches, including the second leg of the round of 16 between Liverpool and PSG.
