Football: Serie A, five coaches suspended for last match, including Conte and Inzaghi

Milan, 19 May (LaPresse) – Five Serie A coaches will miss the last day of the championship due to suspension. The sports judge has handed Antonio Conte (Napoli) a one-match ban and a €5,000 fine for ‘behaving provocatively towards the coach and members of the opposing team's bench in the 45th minute of the second half’. Marco Baroni (Lazio) and Simone Inzaghi (Inter) have also been handed one-match bans and €5,000 fines. The former ‘for leaving the technical area in the 43rd minute of the second half and blatantly contesting a referee's decision, causing an altercation with the opposing team's coach; infringement noted by the fourth official’; the latter ‘for leaving the technical area in the 43rd minute of the second half and blatantly contesting a referee's decision, causing an altercation with the opposing team's coach; infringement noted by the fourth official’. Another one-match ban for Sergio Conceiçao (Milan) with a €5,000 fine “for, in the 47th minute of the second half, blatantly contesting a referee's decision, repeating this behaviour when sent off”. Cristian Chivu (Parma) has also been suspended for one match ‘for reacting to the behaviour of the opposing team's coach in the 45th minute of the second half, confronting him and shouting without any physical contact’. Among those suspended for one match is Sergio Marcon (Udinese staff) ‘for vehemently contesting the referee's decision at the end of the first half after getting up from the additional bench; the infringement was noted by the fourth official’.
