Turin, 22 May (LaPresse) – ‘Today, it seems to me that only two players have the solidity needed to make a difference: Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.’ So said Rafa Nadal in a lengthy interview with French newspaper L'Equipe a few days before the celebration of his career on Sunday at Roland Garros, where he has won 14 of his 22 Grand Slam singles titles. ‘Draper is evolving; Rune won in Barcelona, Ruud played very well in Madrid, Mensik won in Miami. We also need to see how Fonseca evolves. Zverev is an impressive player, but he has not yet managed to win a Grand Slam,’ admitted the Spaniard. ‘Unfortunately, I think it's a mental issue because, based on his level of tennis, he should have already won one.’
