Turin, 25 May (LaPresse) – Jasmine Paolini struggled in her Roland Garros debut, the second Grand Slam of the season on the clay courts of Paris, against China's Yue Yuan, ranked 89th in the WTA rankings, but still qualified for the second round, winning in three sets with a score of 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 in one hour and 40 minutes of play. The Italian, ranked number 4 in the world and fresh from her triumph at the Internazionali d'Italia in Rome, will now face the winner of the match between Tomljanovic and Joint.
