Milan, 27 May (LaPresse) – The winner of the 2023 Giro d'Italia, Primoz Roglic, was involved in a crash on a descent alongside Richard Carapaz during the 16th stage from Piazzola sul Brenta to San Valentino (Brentonico), covering 203 km.The organisers have announced that the Ecuadorian has rejoined the group, while the Slovenian has abandoned the Corsa Rosa. Roglic had already been involved in a couple of crashes in recent weeks and had also accumulated a considerable delay behind the pink jersey of Isaac Del Toro.
