Paris, June 1st (LaPresse) – Jasmine Paolini has been eliminated in the Round of 16 at the Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of the season, held on the clay courts of Paris. The Italian, ranked number four in the world, was defeated in a comeback by Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, ranked 14th in the WTA, with a score of 6-4, 6-7 (6), 1-6 in two hours and 27 minutes of play. A year ago, Paolini had reached the Roland Garros final, losing in two sets to Iga Swiatek.
