Paris, June 3 (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Musetti is the first semifinalist at Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of the season played on the clay courts of Paris. The Italian defeated Frances Tiafoe in the quarterfinals in four sets, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2, after two hours and 48 minutes of play.
In the semifinals, the world No. 7 from Tuscany will face the winner of the evening match between Tommy Paul and Carlos Alcaraz.
This is Musetti’s first career semifinal at Roland Garros and his second in a Grand Slam, after reaching the final four at Wimbledon last year.
