Roland Garros: Sabalenka reaches her first final, Swiatek knocked out

Milan, June 5 (LaPresse) – Aryna Sabalenka is the first finalist of the women’s Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of the season. The Belarusian, world No. 1 and top seed, defeated the defending champion, Poland’s Iga Swiatek, seeded No. 5, in three sets with a score of 7-6 (1), 4-6, 6-0.

“It’s incredible, but the job is not finished yet,” Sabalenka said in an on-court interview with Mats Wilander. “I’m very proud of this win, it was a tough match against Iga here at Roland Garros,” she added.
