In Stuttgart, the European champions got off to a great start, taking the lead through Nico Williams (22') and Merino (25'). In the second half, Yamal's penalty (54') and Pedri's goal (55') made it four for the Iberians. Mbappé reduced the deficit from the penalty spot (59'), but Yamal scored Spain's fifth and his second of the game in the 67th minute. In the closing stages, Les Bleus attempted a comeback with Cherki (79'), an own goal by Vivian (84') and a goal in stoppage time by Kolo Muani (93'). France will now face Germany for third place.
