Rome, June 8 (LaPresse) – Marc Marquez once again asserts his dominance by winning the Aragon GP, the eighth round of the MotoGP World Championship. The eight-time world champion completed a perfect weekend, being fastest in every session (he was the last rider to achieve this feat in 2015 at Sachsenring).
The official Ducati rider led from the very first lap, finishing ahead of his brother Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini) and teammate Francesco Bagnaia, who showed signs of revival by returning to the podium after a series of lackluster performances.
This victory marks number eight for Marquez on the Spanish circuit. Pedro Acosta finished fourth ahead of Franco Morbidelli and Fermin Aldeguer, followed by Mir, Bezzecchi, Di Giannantonio, and Fernandez who completed the top ten. Zarco, Binder, and Quartararo retired from the race.
Marc remains firmly at the top of the World Championship standings, with a 32-point lead over Alex and 93 points over Bagnaia.
