Rome, 8 June (LaPresse) – The Italian duo of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini have won the women's doubles title at Roland Garros. On the court where they won Olympic gold last summer, the Italians defeated the Kazakh-Serbian pair Anna Danilina and Aleksandra Krunic in three sets with a score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-1. The Italians have thus achieved their goal of winning their first Slam, erasing their 2024 defeat on the same Philippe-Chatrier court. Errani, at 38, confirms her status as a doubles specialist. Partnering Roberta Vinci, she completed the Career Grand Slam, winning at least one of each of the four Slam tournaments: Roland Garros and the US Open in 2012, the Australian Open in 2013 and 2014, and Wimbledon in 2014. With Paolini, 29, she now has eight tournament wins, including the four “1000” Internazionali d'Italia (2024 and 2025), China Open (2024) and Qatar Open (2025). All that was missing was the icing on the cake, which came after 2 hours and 15 minutes of play. This is Errani's sixth Slam title and Paolini's first.
