São Paulo (Brazil), 11 June (LaPresse/AP) – Brazil beat Paraguay 1-0 in São Paulo and thus qualified for the 2026 World Cup. The goal was scored in the 43rd minute by Vinicius Júnior. It was Carlo Ancelotti's debut as coach of the Brazilian national team. Chile, on the other hand, failed to qualify after losing 2-0 in Bolivia, meaning they will miss out on their third consecutive World Cup.
