Milan, 15 June (LaPresse) – Italy returns to victory in the men's Nations League volleyball tournament. After losing to France, coach Fefè De Giorgi's team beat Argentina 3-1 with set scores of 25-23, 17-25, 37-35, 25-21. This is the Azzurri's third win in four games, putting them in fourth place in the standings for now. It was certainly not an easy match against a tough and fast opponent, but Italy, after getting off to a good start in the first set, suffered a dip in the second. In the third, however, they produced a real masterpiece, coming back from what seemed like a lost set. In the fourth, Italy led and controlled the game from start to finish. Luca Porro stood out for the Azzurri with 21 points, followed by Bottolo with 16 and Rychlicki with 14. In Quebec, Giannelli and his teammates secured victories against Bulgaria (3-1), Germany (3-2) and Argentina (3-1) and suffered one defeat against France. The Italian Consul General in Montreal, Enrico Pavone, was also present in the stands to watch the match. As previously announced, the Italian national team will attend a reception organised by the Italian Consulate this evening to celebrate Italian Republic Day and National Sports Day.
