Turin, 17 June (LaPresse) – Awaiting her singles debut, Jasmine Paolini, paired with Sara Errani, made a convincing debut in the doubles draw of the Berlin Tennis Open (WTA 500 – prize money €925,661) on the grass courts of the Lawn-Tennis-Turnier-Club “Rot-Weiss” in Berlin. The two Italians, top seeds and fresh from their first Slam triumph as a pair in Paris (and even earlier from their double at the Foro Italico), defeated the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk and the German Eva Lys, playing together for the first time, 6-2, 6-2 in just 57 minutes. This is the twelfth consecutive victory for Sara and Jas. In the quarter-finals, Errani and Paolini will face the American duo Ashlyn Krueger and Jessica Pegula.
