Milan, June 19 (LaPresse) – Roma is pleased to announce “the appointment of Frederic Massara as the Club’s new Sporting Director. For Massara, this marks a return to Trigoria, where he previously contributed with professionalism and expertise to Roma’s sporting development during a crucial phase in the club’s recent history. With extensive experience in both Italian and international football, Massara brings deep knowledge and a clear strategic vision for the technical area.”
The club added that it “looks forward with confidence to this new chapter, convinced that Frederic’s leadership will help build a competitive and ambitious future. Welcome back to Rome!”
According to Roma sources, Massara has signed a three-year contract, running until 2028. He previously worked closely with Walter Sabatini during the Pallotta era, followed him to Inter, and later returned to Roma as general secretary. For a brief time, he also served as sporting director following Monchi’s departure, before leaving again ahead of Gianluca Petrachi’s arrival.
