London, July 4 (LaPresse) – Mattia Bellucci’s run in the men’s singles at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season, comes to an end in the third round on the grass courts of London.
The Lombard player, ranked No. 73 in the world, was defeated in straight sets by Britain’s Cameron Norrie (world No. 61) 7–6 (5), 6–4, 6–3 after two hours and 28 minutes of play.
In the round of 16, Norrie will face the winner of the match between Jarry and Fonseca.
