London, July 5 (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner has qualified for the round of 16 at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season, played on the grass courts of London. The Italian player defeated Spain’s Pedro Martinez, ranked 52nd in the ATP rankings, in straight sets with a score of 6-1, 6-4, 6-1 after one hour and 55 minutes of play. In the round of 16, scheduled for Monday, the world number one will face the winner of the match between Bulgaria’s Dimitrov and Austria’s Ofner.
