Turin, July 5 (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Sonego has qualified for the Round of 16 at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season played on the grass courts of London. The Italian, ranked No. 47 in the world, defeated American Brandon Nakashima in a thrilling five-set match that lasted five hours, winning 7-6 (5), 6-7 (8), 6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-7 (3) in a super tie-break. In the next round, the player from Piedmont will face the winner of the Shelton vs. Fucsovics match.
