Turin, 7 July (LaPresse) – The Tour de France loses one of its protagonists. Jasper Philipsen, green jersey and winner of the first stage at the finish line in Lille, was the victim of a nasty crash during the third stage, the 178 km from Valenciennes to Dunkirk, just before the intermediate sprint. The Alpecin Deceuninck sprinter ended up on the ground at high speed after contact with Bryan Coquard (Cofidis) and was forced to withdraw.
