Turin, July 7 (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Sonego’s Wimbledon run ends in the round of 16 at the third Slam of the season, played on the grass courts of London. The Italian player, ranked No. 47 in the world, was overcome by Ben Shelton, who came back after losing the first set 6-3 and went on to win the next three, closing the match in 3 hours and 8 minutes with a score of 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (1), 7-5. In the quarterfinals, the American, ranked No. 10 in the ATP standings, will face the winner of the match between Grigor Dimitrov and Jannik Sinner.
