Milan, 10 July (LaPresse) – The last few months have been very intense in football, both on the international scene with the FIFA World Cup 26 qualifiers, the confederation highlights and a series of friendly matches. More than 200 relevant matches for national teams have been played worldwide since the last edition of the FIFA/Coca Cola Men's World Ranking was published, and these matches have left their mark on the rankings. The changes start at the top, with Croatia moving up one place to return to the top 10 at the expense of Italy (11th, down two places). Portugal (6th, up one place) and the Netherlands (7th, down one place) have swapped places, while Belgium, eighth in the rankings, has not moved but now has Germany (9th, up one place) looming menacingly behind them. However, there is no movement at the top. Argentina, winner of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, remains in the lead, with Spain (2nd) and France (3rd) still their closest challengers. England and Brazil follow, continuing to complete the top five places in the rankings. Here are the top ten in the FIFA rankings: 1. Argentina 1885.36 points; 2. Spain 1867.09; 3. France 1862.03; 4. England 1813.32; 5. Brazil 1777.69; 6. Portugal 1770.53; 7. Netherlands 1758.18; 8. Belgium 1736.38; 9. Germany 1716.98; 10. Croatia 1707.51. 11. Italy 1702.58.
