Football: boos for Pep Guardiola at Oasis concert

Milan, 12 July (LaPresse) – Some Oasis fans were not exactly thrilled when the band dedicated a song to Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola during their highly anticipated homecoming concert. A handful of boos followed Liam Gallagher's dedication of the famous song “D'You Know What I Mean?” to “the greatest coach of all time, the one and only Pep Guardiola”. Liam Gallagher, a huge football fan, is a die-hard City supporter. The incident took place on Friday evening at Heaton Park during the band's first concert in Manchester in 16 years, as part of their reunion tour. Fellow band member Noel Gallagher then asked the fan, ‘Who are you booing?’ Guardiola was present at the concert and did not seem bothered by the taunts, which were probably coming from Manchester United fans on the other side of the city. He joined the rest of the 70,000 fans in singing “Don't Look Back in Anger”.
