Turin, July 15 (LaPresse) – S.S. Lazio S.p.A. and Lazio Events S.r.l. "strongly reject the news circulating in recent hours reporting alleged negotiations for the sale of the majority stake of the Club held by President Claudio Lotito." This is stated in a press release from the biancoceleste club denying rumors that Lotito is negotiating the sale of the club. "These are completely unfounded, false reconstructions that seriously damage the reputation of the companies involved and their representatives. The spread of such news, without any concrete evidence and based solely on alleged 'confidences,' constitutes a real case of market manipulation aimed at interfering with the market concerning a listed and regulated company," Lazio continues. "Such behavior will be immediately reported to Consob and the Public Prosecutor’s Office to initiate the appropriate investigations under current regulations." S.S. Lazio S.p.A. and Lazio Events S.r.l. "call the attention of all information operators to the utmost duty of responsibility and accuracy, reiterating that any official communication regarding corporate governance will be disclosed exclusively through institutional channels authorized by the companies themselves," concludes Lazio.
