Rome, July 17 (LaPresse) – At the World Water Polo Championships in Singapore, Italy’s women’s team, the Setterosa, defeated China 13-11 in the playoff round to advance to the quarterfinals. China, third in Group B and coached by Olympic champion Miki Oca, put up a strong fight. Italy reached the playoffs after a win over New Zealand, a loss to Australia, and an easy victory against hosts Singapore. In the quarterfinals, scheduled for July 19 at 1:10 p.m. Italian time, the Setterosa will face Hungary.
