Turin, July 18 (LaPresse) – Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on track during the pre-qualifying session for the Czech Republic Grand Prix in the MotoGP class. The Spanish Ducati rider clocked a time of 2'03"935 in a session heavily affected by rain, ahead of Johann Zarco on the LCR Honda, who was nearly half a second behind (+0.469), and Fabio Quartararo on the Yamaha (+0.530). Jorge Martin impressed with a fifth-place finish on his return from injury, just behind his teammate Marco Bezzecchi, who was fourth on the other Aprilia, 557 thousandths off Marquez. Enea Bastianini took eighth on the KTM, while Pecco Bagnaia struggled, finishing 13th and over 1.5 seconds behind the current championship leader. The Piedmontese rider will be forced to go through Q1.
