Rome, 19 July (LaPresse) – Remco Evenepoel has abandoned the Tour de France. The Belgian withdrew in the middle of the 14th stage, from Pau to Luchon-Superbagnères, covering 182.6 km, after climbing the Tourmalet and Col d'Aspin. ‘Get well soon,’ read the Tour de France tweet dedicated to the Soudal Quick-Step cyclist, who had already appeared to be struggling yesterday and finished the time trial well behind Pogacar. Danish rider Mattias Skjelmose also withdrew.
