Milan, 25 July (LaPresse) – There was a warm welcome and much enthusiasm for Italian football legend Roberto Baggio in the Land of the Rising Sun, where he participated as Ambassador of Lega Serie A in a series of important institutional events in Osaka, Japan, to promote the best of Made in Italy alongside ICE and Maeci.Baggio first visited Foodex Kansai, a prestigious agri-food fair, where he visited the stands of Italian exhibitors: ‘Thank you all for being here and greetings to everyone,’ he said. "I am particularly happy to be in this land that I love and to which I am attached, because my life teacher Daisaku Ikeda is Japanese. I am happy and proud to be representing Italy on such an important occasion and I wish all the representatives of Italian excellence the best for the future."The visit then continued at Expo 2025, where, outside the Italian Pavilion, Roberto Baggio took part in the “kagami biraki” ceremony, a ritual that involves breaking a barrel containing sake with a small hammer, before attending the conference 'Sport and Made in Italy: Together to Win | Sport as a Universal Language for Cooperation between Cultures and Nations', which was attended by the President of ICE, Matteo Zoppas, the Legal Advisor for Economic Diplomacy and Development to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, Marco Rago, and the Commissioner General for Italy for Expo 2025 in Osaka, Mario Vattani.
