F1, Piastri: ‘Happy with the win, took the opportunity to overtake Norris’

Rome, 27 July (LaPresse) – ‘It was a lively start, then I realised that the first lap was the best chance to win, so I stuck close to Norris, then I pushed and made my move.’ This is how Oscar Piastri described his immediate overtaking of his McLaren teammate, which allowed him to win the Belgian Grand Prix. ‘In the end, I struggled a bit,’ he explained, ‘but the race was mostly under control.’ After yesterday's qualifying, he said, ‘I was a bit disappointed, but as we saw today, starting second at Spa isn't so bad. Today, I was also a bit disappointed with the start under the safety car, but luckily I stayed close in Turn 1. I'm happy.’
