Trento, July 29 (LaPresse) – Dolomiti Energia Trentino has reached a one-year agreement, with an option to extend until 2027, with DJ Steward, a 23-year-old American combo guard. The American athlete joins Trento after a solid career between the NBA and G-League.
In last Summer League, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, sharing the backcourt with Bronny James, averaging 9.6 points per game, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists while shooting 39% from three-point range.
“With DJ, our backcourt takes shape by adding complementarity and talent,” said coach Massimo Cancellieri. “He is a player strongly wanted, awaited, and appreciated. He already impresses with enthusiasm and willingness to prove himself. We share a common vision of our future and will be determined to make it a reality.”
