Naples, 1 August (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Sonego exits the ATP 1000 tournament in Toronto, Canada. The Italian, ranked 38th in the world, lost in three sets to Russia's Andrey Rublev, ranked 11th in the ATP rankings, with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in just over two and a half hours. Rublev will face Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the round of 16, who won in two sets against Czech Jakub Mensik. After Musetti and Arnaldi, defeated by Michelsen and Zverev respectively, Sonego also leaves the Toronto hard court in the third round. The only Italian still in the Canadian tournament is Flavio Cobolli, who will play for a place in the round of 16 against Hungary's Fabian Marozsan this evening.
